Many people wonder if Law of Attraction is real. On the surface it seems too good to be true. Think whatever you want into existence. We live in a society where hard work and struggle are idealized. Sayings like “there’s no such thing as a free lunch” and “a goal without a plan is just a wish” are everywhere. There is a belief that if you don’t struggle and sacrifice you can’t be successful. And if something does come easy to a person we call them lucky.
But have you ever asked yourself why some people are lucky and some aren’t? I mean doesn’t it sound strange that random people have everything go their way for no reason at all, and with seemingly little effort? I mean on one hand we say there’s no magic to success, while on the other we dismiss easily successful people through some sort of magic called luck.
There is no such thing as luck. Dr. Richard Wiseman is one of the foremost experts on subject of luck in the world. He studied it for over ten years, researching and experimenting with so-called lucky and lucky people. His book The Luck Factor highlights all of his findings. His main conclusion? There is no such thing as luck. And these “lucky” people don’t work hard and struggle to become successful. In fact he highlights 4 principles, all within our control that contributes to someone’s level of “luck”.
Principle 1: Maximize your chance opportunities. Lucky people create, notice and act upon the chance opportunities in their life.
Principle 2: Listen to your lucky hunches. Lucky people make successful decisions by using their intuition and gut feelings.
Principle 3: Expect good fortune. Lucky people’s positive expectations about their future help them fulfill their dreams and ambitions.
Principle 4: Turn your bad luck into good. Lucky people are able to transform their bad luck into good fortune.
Notice that these principles don’t talk about working hard or struggling or making detailed plans or sacrifice or any of that. All four of these principles focus specifically on the minds ability to become successful.
What does this have to do with law of attraction? Law of attraction says the exact same thing. If you want to achieve your dreams it has to start in your mind. You have to literally think it into your existence.
But law of attraction is more than just think and it will come. To truly understand it you have to dig deeper. In this case, you need to understand your personal point of attraction. You don’t actually attract what you think. You attract what you feel. Let me explain with a quote from Albert Einstein:
“Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is really energy, whose vibration has been lowered as to be perceivable to the senses. There is no matter. There is only light and sound.”
The key idea is that everything at it’s core is energy, vibrating at different frequencies. We’re no exception. Our frequencies differ based on how we feel. Better feelings vibrate at a higher frequencies than worse feelings. Intuitively you understand this. Consider the energy level of a happy person vs. a depressed person.
In the context of law of attraction the idea is that like vibrations attract like vibrations. Happy people attract happy people. People who feel rich or abundant attract more money. In other words, you need to feel whatever you desire first and then that desire comes to you.
Observe your life or other people’s life and you’ll see this is the case. You won’t find many happy people in a depressed person’s life. You won’t find a rich person with a poor person’s mentality. This is not a coincidence. This is law of attraction at work. Now many people will assume that people feel depressed or angry or negative because their life circumstances made them that way, but that’s simply not true.
There are some very rich people who are depressed and very poor people who are depressed. There are very happy rich people and very happy poor people. There are angry people in a relationship and angry people not in a relationship.
In other words, how a person feels has nothing to do with their life circumstances and everything to do with their thoughts about their life circumstances. It’s all subjective.
All in all, the deeper you dig into the law of attraction and spirituality in general, the more you see the truth that this all powerful law governs our world and works all the time for every one, no exceptions. Of course the only way to know for sure is to try it. Learn more about LOA. Read books or take courses or take programs that help you. Only then can you know the truth of it.
